Makeup Wish List - August | BEAUTY

I've spent my fair share of time on Youtube watching makeup tutorials and lusting over the products that they have managed to get their hands on and work it like magic. I adapted some advice from my guru's and have added to my collection which originally consisted of a few drugstore foundations, powders, mascaras and eyeliners along with the Naked Palette 2, some Napoleon Perdis items and some MAC lipsticks.
I've recently treated myself to some high-end beauty products and bought the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Palette and the Brow Pomade (In 3 shades!), Girl Meets Pearl Highlighter by Benefit, World Famous Neutrals Eyeshadow by Benefit, Double Wear Foundation in 1C1 Cool Bone by Estee Lauder and the Illuminating Perfecting Primer.
This list includes some of the makeup I just bought, and some items that are on my wish list! It's difficult to buy all of these items at once, so making a list and keeping it updated is the best way to keep track of what I've got my eyes on!
What are your favourite high-end products?

  1. nars creamy concealer is the best no doubt! I prefer it over the Mac one because the Mac one leaves my face more cakey. Light and shade by kat von d changes lives... I highly recommend her products because they are very pigmented and last on ur face instead of melting. Also kat von d or urban decay setting spray is literally a must, it makes your make up stay like glue. Last thing is too faced hang over primer, it makes ur makeup stay and has replenishing skin benefits ! Xx

  2. the nars and mac concealers are both so nice. i personally don't think there is a concealer out there that is completely crease proof but if you set either of them with a good enough powder its no problem for me. also, on me i found benefit highbeam to break up and pretty much wipe away my foundation where ever i applied it, so it was a waste for me personally :/ double wear foundation is really nice though! i find it lightweight and bulletproof! so good

  3. Mac's Prep + Prime Fix+ is my holy grail setting spray. At first I hadn't believed all the hype from youtubers and reviews online but I was desperate for something to hold my makeup together throughout the day, now I can't finish my makeup without it. It leaves my makeup looking smooth and dewy for the whole day.

    1. I've never used those! I'll keep my eye out for the though, I love a dewy finish but it can be so hard to achieve without my makeup melting or rubbing off during the day! Thank you :) X

  4. I love benefit products but here in Portugal they're very expensive so I just have one or two things. Xo

    1. Benefit is pretty expensive in Australia too, I've only just bought two of their products. I wish they were more affordable! X

  5. my holy grail foundation is the nars sheer glow, its about a medium coverage but if I am wanting more of a full coverage for a night out or an event, its completely buildable and not cakey at all. I am also loving the chanel natural finish face highlighter, its a subtle highlight but adds a really nice glow. XXX

  6. Lately I've been adoring subculture lip liner paired with yash lipstick by MAC! :) it really is the perfect nude lip for my yellow tone olive skin. And if I want it to last, I add NYX matte lip on top and I can eat and drink and it won't budge!

  7. I absolutely love the Naked Pallette 2! I always use it whenever I go out :) I love NARS' blushes as well, especially 'Orgasm'! My favorite red lip color is by NARS as well and is the satin lip pencil in 'Luxembourg'! You should try it, cheers .xxx

  8. I have the Nars creamy concealer and it's definitely the best I've come across so far, and the product lasts a long time too. I also love the Nars lipstick in Barbara, the Mac pressed powder to set my makeup, and the Estee Lauder double wear foundation. I wouldn't really suggest the benefit stick concealer with the moisturising ring thing around because it's expensive, there isn't much product and it runs out really quickly, as well as the Mac matte bronzer because it didn't really show that much on my skin. Hope that helps! x
